Brief book review and other matters
Jul. 1st, 2005 09:15 amI picked up a hardback copy of "The Runes of the Earth - Vol. 1 of the Final Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" in a book sale the other week. It accompanied me to Spain, despite the fact it was in danger of tipping my luggage allowance over the limit.
Despite his long-winded books, I am fond of Donaldson's style and imagination. He has some excellent ideas. However, this book is a real let down.
I've posted a review on Amazon as johnlkearney: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0575075996/qid=1120205616/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-6345651-3164625
Anyway, no Moot for me this weekend. I'm having a party with 100,000 others in Hyde Park. :-)
