An odd week
Feb. 10th, 2006 09:57 amTaking yesterday off to drive Jen to her appointment with a consultant has broken up the week strangely. Today feels like a Monday, and will soon get worse when I have a meeting with my manager regarding his bumbling attempts to edit the presentations I put together for him.
Other things:
The consultant was nice, but didn't know what was causing the problem in Jen's leg and has recommended an MRI and other tests. More waiting.
The sale of my previous bow is on hold while the prospective buyer umms and aaahs. This means my shiny new toy is still beyond my grasp. Curses.
I've realised that I have a beautifully made longbow in my garage that I only ever shoot once a year because I don't like shooting longbows. They kick like mules and are far too slow. Perhaps I should suppress my hoarding instincts and sell it as well. Any suggestions? (I'm afraid it's over the legal maximum weight for most LRP).
The weekend should be fun. Meal at 6pm in Worcester with Malvernites on Saturday, and on Sunday I'll be playing tabletop for the first time in years. It is a mark of exactly how desperate I am that I have consented to play D&D 3.5 in the Eberon setting. Quite accidentally
aberim and I will be a double act again. This seems to happen quite a bit. I will be playing a somewhat embittered mercenary of noble blood; he, a Warforged. I'm practicing my lines already. "Mess with me, mess with my kitchen appliance!"
