Jobs and stuff
Aug. 7th, 2006 10:07 pmThought I'd do a quick update on the job situation, seeing as I haven't for a bit. It's also an excuse to use a new userpiccy, taken while I was on the field shoot in Scotland.
I have an interview on Wednesday with a firm up in the Cannock area. All well and good, but it seems like they want me to come with answers to about 30 "core competency" questions, most of which push my "this is bullshit management" buttons. Hum. I'm also applying for a more lucrative job in Bristol, and another application to a Nottingham firm is on hold because the company contact is on holiday, so we'll see how that goes.
As for contracting work, the London job is also on hold for the same reason. I also had a call today from an agent urgently seeking someone to work in Amsterdam for 3 months. Very good rates, apparently. I'm going to look over the details and think about it.
