And home again
Dec. 3rd, 2006 07:36 pmThanks all for various birthday wishes. :-)
This weekend, I were be mostly:
Seeing old friends from the archery club.
Eating curry.
Playing Guitar Hero I and II on Osh's PS2 - I'm better after a few drinks.
Starting my Christmas shopping at the Worcester Christmas Fayre, and getting slightly damp in the process.
Buying Stinky Cheese of Death.
Eating a big roast dinner.
I shall explain the second to last comment:
Last month Chris and Paula (sans LJ) served us with raclette cheese cooked on a raclette (clever cooking gadget with mediaeval origins). I want to buy one, and when Jane spotted some raclette cheese at the market, I snapped up a large chunk as apparently it can be frozen and refrozen as required.
After a while, we noticed a nasty smell following us around. It was the cheese, which was very confusing as Paula and Chris' stuff smelled nothing like it. I finally got it home this evening, triple bagged, frozen and still stinky. Then I gave up and chucked it away. I don't care if it's supposed to smell like that - I simply can't have it in my flat.
Other birthday purchases - capo, couple of comic books - were much nicer, and less smelly. Fortunately.
