Another long weekend
Dec. 7th, 2006 12:59 pmThe nice thing about not being able to carry leave over into the next year is having to take long weekends off in December.
Tomorrow I shall be staging a raid on the bookshops etc. in Brum to make a serious dent in my Christmas pressie shopping list. I'll be meeting a friend for a late lunch before heading back to Stafford, throwing my suit and bag in the car and heading down to the Wroxall Abbey Hotel near Warwick for the company Christmas party.
The following day I'm heading down to a pub near Evesham for the Archers' Guild Christmas get together. I was going to take in a play in Stratford on the way, but there's no matinee performances this Saturday according to the RSC website. I might break my journey there anyway to do a little sight seeing or shopping (suggestions on things to see welcome).
And then back up to Stafford the next day, hopefully in time to get to another shop or two and make a start on Crimble cards.
