Where did the week go?
Apr. 12th, 2007 07:54 amOh yes, I've been half asleep after the glory that was Maelstrom. Hurrah.
The Power of Coffee[1] on Tuesday night got me to the archery club, where after a couple of ends to get used to my new aiming point I started knocking the crap out of the red and gold (i.e. a circle 24cm across at 20 yards). Last night I met up with friends at a fantastic pub in Sudbury - The Vernon Arms - which does wonderful food. I highly recommend it. Tonight, more twanging and tomorrow there are some tentative plans I'm waiting to hear about. At some point I'll try to unpack the car properly and sort all the kit back into place. Honest.
Work is okay, if very quiet. All the delivery staff have been dispatched to train and sell products again, meaning it is now possible to get a car parking space without the use of a crowbar. However, it also means the issue of phone cover has been brought up. Three of us were faced with the choice of always doing core hours or alternating early and late hours. I wanted to stay on core, the other two didn't. Oh well. Two weeks out of every three I'll be working 8 to 4:30 (which I like), and the third week I'll be on 9:30 to 6 (which I can't stand). Argh.

smallstoat a cup. I put in 75% of the coffee I normally use, and as she sipped it she said "You make really strong coffee." Oh dear. Perhaps I need to start cutting back a little.
