A very different day
Dec. 2nd, 2007 10:36 pmToday was splendid. I have been spoiled rotten all weekend.
Friday evening, Dessie and Bria fed me delicious haggis and lovely wine. I was introduced to the lovely little chap that is Furball/Duncan.
Saturday, we had a lazy day. We went to Adventure Planet (for Duncan) and saw Jude and Gray in the evening for Indian takeaway and more wine.
Today was particularly good. Dessie and Duncan (Bria being poorly - poor Bria) took me to Stirling Castle, where we saw Jude and Gray again. Then home, and Bria showed me a lovely graveyard and a small chunk of the Antonine Wall (have seen both now - yay!). Then Jude picked me up and whisked me away for singing and things with Daisy. They were both in fine voice and most encouraging of my efforts. And then back to Dessie and Bria's for reading and an earlyish night: historical things, singing and wonderful company - what a brilliant birthday it has been :-)
And tomorrow it's back to Stafford - the place of no Internets; although I will be tarrying in Glasgow for a little while, as I intend to take my 25% off voucher and hit Borders for the first serious assault on the Christmas shopping mountain.
