Back at work, ho hum

So, back to work after probably the longest week-long break I’ve ever had, subjectively of course. It feels like I’ve been away for ages, which is both a good and a bad thing.

The remainder of the week off was mostly pretty good, other than a few blips. One of these was a threat of court action from a debt collection agency for an unpaid gas bill at my previous address. This is a bill which I am actually paying off at the moment. I called the agency and instead of an immediate apology was told in a rather patronising fashion that they wouldn’t talk to me about it and I should call the utility company.

Now, it take a lot to get me riled, but that did it. I’m not sure exactly what I said, but I ended up shouting down the phone that if I ever heard from them again I’d take them to court myself, before cutting them off. I'm not sure if anyone can imagine me yelling down the phone. I certainly can't.

Happily, everything else is pretty much fine. :-)
