How does this thing work again?
Apr. 6th, 2005 10:44 amBeen a little while so time for an update.
LRP - QnC seemed to go well, although I think my linear writing needs improving. Improvisation and some help from Chidgey smoothed things out a bit. I didn't get to see how well the NPC I wrote (Henry Millerson) went with the NPCs, but the feedback seems to indicate that
thewhitespider did an excellent job, for which I thank him.
In fact, event feedback in general has been mostly very positive. W00t.
Archery - last night was my first time shooting in just over a fortnight, and I only shot about 30 arrows because it got bloody cold very quickly. Considering the fact I was shooting my old bow and made no effort to set it up properly, I was shooting really rather well.
When I got home, the bloody muscle in my back started twinging again. I applied a hot sock full of rice and fretted a great deal, but this morning it seems completely fine. I suspect it was simply objecting a little to being used again rather than warning of a more permanent injury.
LRP + archery conspire to clash - I have a cunning plan to go to watch some of the world outdoor archery champs in Madrid. However, the best part of the competition (the finals) clash with the first moot. Oh bloody hell. Well, if I have to give up on Madrid, there's always the next time (2007 in Germany).
Other stuff -
badgersandjam and I watched the BBC funded film of Twelfth Night last night, starring Imogen Stubbs, Helena Bonham Carter, Nigel Hawthorne, Mel Smith, Richard E Grant, Ben Kinglsey etc. Excellently done, especially Kingsley as Feste, who had a distinctly otherworldy air.
Jen is recovering well after the weekend, but will shortly be off to the Lions' event. Hopefully she'll do better there than last weekend, what with having a bunk and hot showers and all. I hope she will anyway, as I'm off to the Vipers' event. I would be going with Jen, but I promised the Vipers' I'd crew for them again next chance I got.
And that's aboot it for now.
