. . . and I'll be wearing sunglasses
Apr. 8th, 2005 08:54 amWell, if it's bright.
Got nearly everything I need for the Viper event piled up in the kitchen. I was going to pack the car last night, but Jen took it out to pop round to Osh and Jane's, and by the time she got back I was shattered and wanted to go to bed. So I'll be getting out of the office at about 1pm, heading home, flinging stuff in the car and heading for the M1.
I'm less nervous than I was about this solo drive. I've sorted out the route, and it all seems logical. However, I'm not looking forward to negotiating the huge roundabout near Ryton-on-Dunsmore (near to the Re-enactment Market site). I'm told as long as I'm not in the far left or far right lane, I should be okay, but I think the bloody thing has about 7 lanes.
Anyway, if I take the wrong exit, I can always turn round at the next roundabout I suppose.
Negotiating Hatfield could be interesting too, but
woodbrook has helpfully provided a useful commentary on the AA directions I obtained, and it seems fairly simple. I just have to work out how to read while not running people over.
