My Dad . . .
Nov. 7th, 2005 08:23 am. . . finished in 32154th place at the New York Marathon yesterday. Considering he'd only ever run 18 miles at a time up until then, I think that's quite something.
His younger brother (who has run marathons before) finished one place ahead of him.
And no, I have no plans to run a marathon. I have many ambitions in life, but putting myself through that level of pain is not one of them.
Brief summary of the rest of the weekend:
Finished proof-reading that dissertation (total time taken about 14 hours, so 15 was a good estimate).
Watched some more Joseph Campbell - what a frighteningly clever man he was.
Not much else.
P.S. Any further comments on lamping from anyone with any experience are very welcome.
