Vote

Even if you're voting against a candidate or an issue, vote. In this election more than any other in my living memory national share of the vote really matters, despite the inherent bias of our electoral system. Even if you're voting against someone rather than for another, just make your voice count.

*Gets off soapbox*

My personal view is that you should all vote against Cameronland (http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/johann-hari/johann-hari-welcome-to-cameron-land-1962318.html). Scary, scary place.

I was a little torn between voting to keep the Tories out of my local seat, or voting to add to the national Lib Dem vote share. This was after seeing a poll this morning favouring the Tories, which scared the crap out of me. Logically speaking I know my single vote doesn't count for much either way, but it's the principle of the thing.

I will, however, stick with the Lib Dems. Even if they only succeed in getting to second place here rather than third, it could be worth it in the long run. Who knows? If I'm still living here by the time of the next election Stafford might be a three-way marginal, which could mean we get visited by all the party leaders. What fun that would be.
